Original painting pays tribute to Lincoln Public School legacy

Local artist Peggy Guest has created a painting which pays tribute to Lincoln Public School. Using photographs of the school, which was torn down sometime after 1966, the painting shows a group of children walking into the front double doors of the brick building. It will be re-painted on the south side of the building housing the laundromat at Church and Morrison Streets. Chances for the original painting are being sold now and are available from members of the Lincoln Public School Memorial Co
