“Hollywood Nights” Fayette High School Celebrates Prom 2017

FHS Prom Senior Court; Tommy Phillips, Bailey Stevens, Returning Queen Ashley Oakley, Queen Natalie Bishop, King Mason Stornello, Returning King Tyler Busker, Maddie Duren, and Ryan Linhart

The Fayette High School junior and senior students celebrated Prom 2017 on Saturday, April 8.
The evening began at 7 p.m. with  Grand March in the gym at the high school.  “Hollywood Nights” was the Prom theme, and appropriately, Grand March became a walk on the  ‘Red Carpet’.
For those that may not know, Grand March is held before the dance.  Students attending Prom gather and are introduced as they walk across they gym, allowing the students to share their event and show off a little.  It also provides an opportunity for family and friends to take photos.
After their Red Carpet paparazzi experience, students made their way to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall, which was decorated for a Hollywood party.  The dance began at 8 p.m., lasting until 11 p.m. with music provided by a DJ.
One of the most important events of the evening was the crowning of Senior Prom King & Queen.  King and Queen candidates are chosen from the senior class and then voted upon by the student body.  Senior candidates for queen were Natalie Bishop, Maddie Duren, and Bailey Stevens.  Senior candidates for king were Ryan Linhart, Tommy Phillips, and Mason Stornello.  Royalty was announced at 10 p.m..  Returning 2016 Prom Queen and King Ashley Oakley and Tyler Busker crowned Natalie Bishop queen and Mason Stornello king.
Students enjoyed a memorable and most of all, safe “Hollywood Night”.
