Shawn Gruber

Shawn Gruber, since 2001 the Howard County conservation agent, is now on temporary assignment in Jefferson City with the Missouri Department of Conservat-ion’s Central Office.
Gruber began his new duties April 15. The special posting is for one year.

As the MDC Central Office program coordinator, Gruber is participating in a leadership development program that engages staff in upper-level administrative duties. He is involved in revamping the Operation Game Thief Program, supervising the Share the Harvest Program, and monitoring chronic wasting disease in deer.

Gruber plans to resume his duties in Howard County next April.

His position here is not being filled, at least for now. In Gruber’s absence, his supervisors, Dean Harre and Tom Strother, are overseeing MDC services for Howard County. They may be reached at 573-884-6861.
