Christopher M. Hustedde of Fayette, who faces charges of involuntary manslaughter in the death here last August of 18-year-old Andrea Gerlt, appeared in court Monday before Cooper County Judge Robert Koffman.

Hustedde was represented by Adam Dowling, an associate of well-known defense attorney Pat Eng.

The judge scheduled Hustedde’s next court appearance for Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. At that time, a trial date will be set.
The case had been moved to Cooper County on a change of venue.
Hustedde, who is free on bond, also is charged with assault in the second degree and driving while intoxicated.
