A Fayette man sustained serious injuries in an early morning crash Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gary N. Tucker, 31, was southbound on County Road 305 at its intersection with County Road 300 in his 2006 Ford shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Tucker apparently ran off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. He was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Tucker’s Ford was totaled and had to be towed from the scene.
