A FAYETTE MOTORIST escaped serious injury shortly after 6 a.m. Monday when her 1996 GMC Jimmy Van overturned on Cleveland (Highway 5) after colliding with a truck. Melody Foster was proceeding north on Cleveland near West Elm when allegedly she did not see a truck driven by Don Arnold Jr. who had pulled on to the highway from Elm. According to police, the she struck the side of Arnold’s truck, which caused her van to overturn. She was briefly trapped in the vehicle but had managed to crawl out before emergency responders arrived. She declined medical treatment. Arnold, who is from rural Howard County, was not injured. Foster, partially hidden, is seated on the curb at left while firefighters, police and ambulance personnel inspect the scene.
