The James Thogmorton family (Jim, Helen and Cathy) recently presented a book to the Howard County Public Library in celebration of the 103rd birthday of Mary Crigler. Mary chose “First Ladies of Liberty” by Cokie Roberts. Despite the fact she now lives in Kansas City, Mary Crigler has many decades of ties to Fayette and Central Methodist University. Her husband, the late Ed Crigler, was Central’s public relations director in the 1950s. Here, Jim Thogmorton, left, presents the book to library staffer Larry Herrington.
