• THE CITY COUNCIL OF FRANKLIN will meet today (Saturday), 9 a.m., at city hall.
• THE UNITED DAUGHTERS OF THE CONFEDERACY will meet today at the home of Kathy Wilkerson in Boonville. Lunch will be at noon followed by a program on “Vittles: Civil War Cooking.” Prospective members are invited and reservations are required. • THE FAYETTE ARMSTRONG COMMUNITY BETTERMENT GROUP will meet Monday at noon in the Commercial Trust Community Room. Speaking will be Jill Chandler and Rachel Dougherty on recent efforts during the holiday to assist those in need.
• THE BOONESBORO CEMETERY will hold an annual meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Boonesboro Christian Church basement. Everyone is welcome.
• THE NEW FRANKLIN CITY COUNCIL will meet Monday, 7 p.m., in city hall.
• THE ARMSTRONG CITY COUNCIL will meet Monday, 7 p.m., in city hall.
• THE VFW POST 2914 will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., in the Glasgow American Legion Hall. (Note time change.)
• THE OUTREACH LIBRARIAN will be available Wednesday in the Armstrong City Hall, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• ASHBURY HEIGHTS RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY will host an Anniversary Celebration Saturday, Jan. 17, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Refreshments, door prizes and live music will be offered. • THE PARENTS AS TEACHERS PLAY CENTER, located under the FHS band room, will be open each Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. Questions? Call Cara Owings at 248-2852.

• MERCHANTS & FARMERS RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM continues to accept aluminum cans for Relay for Life. Cans may be dropped off at Merchants & Farmers Bank, Jordanville Plants, or the home of George Hilgedick. For pick up, call Joyce at 248-3683 or Pat at 248-3172.
