Mrs. Helena B. Clancy, of Fayette, passed away on Dec. 5, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia.  She was 83.

She was born in Rappach, Germany on Jan. 4, 1929, to the late Otto and Anna Hafman Stradtmuller.  On Jan. 12, 1957, she married Jerome Clancy in Boeblinger, Germany and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Clancy was formerly employed with Selwyn Shoe Factory in Boonville, Fayette Garment Factory and Killwood Factory in Glasgow.  

Helena interests included sewing, playing drums, violin and guitar in the family band, carpentry and her various pets over the years.  She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Theo, Stephan and Cal Stradtmuller and by a sister, Lydia Lorenz.

Survivors include a sister, Klara Fuchs of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Robert Duesdieker officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Boonville.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the University of Missouri Women’s & Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Fayette PAWS Program in care of Carr-Yager Funeral Home, P.O. Box 210, Fayette, MO 65248.
