Ruby Eva (O’Dell) Hosey, passed away on Nov. 27, 2012 at her son’s home in Porterville, Calif.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1926, in Monteral, Mo., and moved to Howard County at an early age. She went to Cooper’s Chapel School and graduated from New Franklin High School in 1945.
Ruby married her first husband, Bobby M. Bardwell, March 15, 1946. Ruby and Bob had two children, Sharon (Bardwell) Walkup and Robert Kieth Bardwell and was blessed with 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Ruby married her second husband, Wayne Hosey on September 11, 1966 in California.
Ruby, is preceded in death by her parents, Levi Everett and Anna Rosa (Rickerson) O’Dell; husbands, Bobby Bardwell and Wayne Hosey; one granddaughter; brothers, James and Ernest O’Dell of Fayette, Lynn and Lloyd O’Dell of Porterville, Calif., Ralph O’Dell of Stoutland, Mo.; sisters, Mary James of Boonville, Hazel Topping of Kansas City, Mo., Helen Eaton of Elkins, Ark.
Ruby is survived by her brothers, Levi O’Dell Jr. of San Diego, Calif., Carl O’Dell of Boonville; sisters, Ruth Frey and Marjorie Cooper of New Franklin, and La Verne Jeffress of Boonville.
