Helen Lucille Perkins “Akins, Casey, King”, died Feb. 6, 2013.
She was born Oct. 10, 1941 in Fayette. Helen was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Perkins Quinley and her father Jimmy Perkins.
She is survived by her two sisters Margaret Clayton and Linda Perkins-Carter, both residents of Fayette. She has three children: Cindy, Butch and Jim, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
We are all saddened by the loss of a wonderful Mother, a great Grandmother, a demanding sister, an aunt that was fun to be with, a cousin that liked to get into trouble with you, and a truly wonderful soul. Today the sky is brighter as the universe has a new bright star in the heavens. One that will look down upon us and remind us to be kind, grow a plant, say hello to a stranger, and just be yourself.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 170 Missouri Highway 5, Fayette.
In lieu of flowers, please place a plant in your secret garden in her honor.
