Longtime Glasgow resident, Edna Pankey passed away at Fayette Caring Center on March 4, 2013. She was 89 years of age.
Edna Mae Pankey was born in Aholt, Mo., to Charlie Ray and Flossie Mae Miller on March 4, 1924. She married Alex Pankey in December of 1976. Edna was extremely hard working. She worked as custodian for multiple businesses, including the Glasgow Post Office and Regional Missouri Bank (Glasgow Savings Bank). She also cleaned many homes in Glasgow.
She is survived by cousins, Jennie Grant of Macon, Mo., Sue Hughes of Dalton, Mo., and a host of relatives.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Harry Jordan, and husbands, Russell Jackson and Alex Pankey.
Services were 1 p.m., Friday, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Chapel in Glasgow with Rev. Don White officiating. Visitation was one hour before the service. Burial followed the service at Lincoln Cemetery in Glasgow.
