One of the last few male descendants of Sarshall Cooper passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2013. He was 99 years of age.

Jordon Cooper was born Sept. 3, 1914, to Robert Patrick and Elvira “Ella” (Harris) Cooper, in Fayette, Mo. He married the love of his life, Martha Frances Hickman, on March 24, 1935, in Moberly, Mo. She preceded him in death, July 18, 1999.

The couple moved to California in the 1950s where he worked in the electrical industry. He was a 65+ year member of the Local 441 IBEW Electrical Union. He was also Past Noble Grand of the International Order of Odd Fellows #199 IOOF and the Anaheim Camera Enthusiast Camera Club. He was an amazing individual, well versed in many topics, but his favorites were history and science. You would always have to stay clear of religion and politics, as he loved to debate you on these. He enjoyed gardening, photography, woodworking, ceramics and electronics, just to name a few. His garage was always full of tools and gadgets for his hobbies. He was a Baptist by faith.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his daughters: Mary Corcoran (Frank), of Orange, Calif., and Lucinda (Cindy) Ferguson of Cypress, Calif., and his son Michael Cooper, Las Vegas, Nev., nine grandchildren; Jordon Ferguson, Laura Hensley, Robert, Frank, Christopher, Michael Corcoran, Marta Azizian, Kelley Marlin, and Edward Cooper, 11 great-grandchildren and 4.5 great-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, daughters Terry Galban and Kathryn Owen Cooper and two brothers preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cypress, Calif. Rev Greg Tucker will officiate.
