Mrs. Helen Frances (Tot) Hill, 100, of Boonville passed away on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Lakeview Rehabilitation and Care Center.

She was born Monday, June 30, 1913, in Fayette, to Jesse and Ada Fugate Lusby. She was united in marriage to Harold S. Hill on Saturday, June 28, 1941, in Fayette and to this union three children were born. Helen was employed in a shoe factory many years ago. In her 80’s she was known to still climb a 20-foot ladder to trim the tree and clean out the gutters. She was a very good seamstress and at the age of 92 was still taking in ironing and doing alteration work. She kept a large garden, did lots of canning and even ran the tiller herself. She was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, their son, Stanny, and an infant daughter, Janet Diane, her sisters, Christine Anderson, Lillian Kirby and Norma Lee Miller and two brothers, JW Lusby and Harold Richard Lusby.

She is survived by her son, Harold W. Hill and wife, Tracie, of Washington, Mo., a sister, Delilah Hutchinson of Fayette, a cousin, Betty Humphrey of Boonville, three grandchildren, Timothy (Michelle) Hill, Cassandra (Flip) Elder, Chad Hill; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Hill, Zachary Hill and Allie Elder.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson United Methodist Church, Boonville. Burial followed at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at William Wood Funeral Home, 517 4th Street, Boonville, Mo.
