Former Armstrong resident, Etta Huber, passed away at the Brunswick Nursing Home in Brunswick, Mo., on Feb. 7, 2014. She was 86 years of age.

Cordelia Henrietta Huber was born on March 11, 1927, in Franklin, MO, to Lee and Eathel (Pharris) Childers. Etta married Dale Eugene Huber in Slater, MO on Aug. 26, 1945. Dale preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2008. Etta owned and operated the Armstrong Café for over 16 years. She was a hard-working and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that always put her family first.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Felten of Armstrong, MO and Rita (Bobby) Lockard of Salisbury; four grandsons, Corey (Melisa) Felten, Torey Dale (Jinger) Felten, Bobby Gene (Brenda) Lockard and Jeffrey (Pam) Lockard; and seven great-grandchildren, Aaron, Cheri Lynne, MaKenzie, MaKaylea, Logan, Liam and Mariah.

Besides her parents and husband, Etta was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.

Services are at 2 p.m, Monday, Feb. 10, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Chapel in Fayette with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Roanoke Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Roanoke Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
