Edward (Ned) Triplett of Fayette passed away at home on July 21, 2014. He was 78.

He was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Pittsburg, Pa. He moved to New Franklin from Texas in 1994. He married Virginia Doll of Fayette Oct. 11, 2008, and moved to Fayette.

Ned served in the United States Army at the Pictorial Center in New York City making military training films. He was a member of the White-Bell American Legion Post #273. After leaving the service, he worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Doll, and three daughters, Kristy Desrosiers of California, Lisa Ellsworth, and Terri Billen, both of Texas. In addition to his sons-in-law, he is survived by five grandchildren and several step-relatives.

Ned wanted to have his funeral service at home and to be buried in the family cemetery in Howard County, Missouri, with family friend, Rev. Jane Wieland officiating.

The family thanks Hometown Homecare for their care and support and Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service for assisting the family in carrying out Ned’s final wishes.
