Alice Elizabeth Buck, of New Franklin, passed away Aug. 5, 2014, at Ashley Manor in Boonville. She was 82 years old.

She was born Aug. 30, 1931, to Drury and Esther Allen Brady. On July 4, 1948, she married Earl Radford Buck. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2003.

Alice was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family. Her favorite past times included quilting, embroidery work, gardening and her chicken collection.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Wayne Buck and wife, Laura of Glasgow; Dean Buck and wife, Deborah of New Franklin; two daughters, Linda O’Donnell and husband, Thomas of Cameron and Barbara Maupin and husband, Jim of Franklin; four brothers, L.D., D. J., George and Donald Brady and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also cherishing her memory are seven grandchildren, Jennifer Maupin, Travis Trosper, Regina Browning, Aaron Buck, Morgan Scott, Rachel Buck and Lydia Buck and nine great-grandchildren, Quincy Banuet, Bailey Young, Coleman Browning, Grady Scott and Devon, Garrett, Tyler, Ali and Ethan Trosper.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Brady.
Funeral services honoring Alice’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin with Rev. Ken Stacey officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery in Franklin, Mo.

Memorial contributions are suggested to go to the New Franklin First Baptist Church where Alice was a member.

Arrangements are entrusted to Markland-Yager Funeral Home, New Franklin, Mo.
