Grace Green
 

Grace Farley Green of Sedalia died Sunday, (Nov. 29, 2009) at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was 96.

Born April 25, 1913, in Green Ridge, she was the daughter of Clarence N. and Hazel Worsdell Farley. On Aug. 11, 1962, she married William Glenwood Green, who died Jan. 1, 1982.

Mrs. Green spent most of her life in Sedalia. In her career days, she served as deputy in the offices of County Collector and County Clerk. After terminating her position there, she lived approximately 20 years in Topeka, Kan., and Armstrong.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Wesley Couples Sunday School class and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include three step-children, William O. Green of Osage Beach, Robert Y. Green and Linda King, both of Columbia, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; two nephews, James A. Johnson and his wife Edith, of Sedalia, and Lloyd Wesley Collins and his wife Vannessa, of Excello; one sister-in-law, Arlis Collins; and Elle Wasson and Lee Miller, whom she considered her adopted children.

Her body was donated to the Anatomy Department of the University School of Medicine, Columbia.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Miller officiating.
