Gene Leimkuehler,  81, of Marshall, died Monday, (Feb. 1, 2010), at North Kansas City Hospital. He was the father of Randy Leimkuehler of Fayette.

Born March 2, 1928, in Saline City, Mo., he was the son of the late Edward Paul Leimkuehler and Emma Bender Leimkuehler. On Dec. 2, 1951, he married Lilly Schroeder who survives of the home. Also surviving are four children; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall.  Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
