Because of the severe winter weather that has hit the mid-Missouri region, schools in the Howard County area have already announced that classes will not be in session on Tuesday.

As of 8 a.m. Tuesday, KOMU has listed that Fayette R-III, New Franklin R-I, St. Mary's of Glasgow, Glasgow R-II schools, Harrisburg R-VIII and Higbee R-VIII have canceled classes for Tuesday. Boonville R-I will be closed Tuesday as well.

According to its Web site, Grace 'n' Glory Christian Academy of New Franklin has also canceled school Tuesday as well.
