A handful of Howard County area schools announced Sunday evening that classes have been canceled for Monday.

According to KOMU as of 8 a.m. Monday, Fayette R-III schools, Glasgow R-II schools, St. Mary's School of Glasgow, New Franklin R-I schools and Higbee R-VIII schools will be closed Monday.

As of that time, Harrisburg R-VIII schools and Grace 'n' Glory Academy of New Franklin are session for Monday.

In addition, Glasgow Senior Center and Higbee Senior Center are closed Monday as well.

There have also been a couple of high school basketball games canceled for Monday. The Fayette JV boys and girls games at home against Columbia Independent School have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Also, the Glasgow varsity boys and girls games at Bucklin have been rescheduled for Wednesday night.
