Donald Ray Tuggle of Kirksville, formerly of Higbee, died Thursday, March 22, 2012.
He was born Jan. 20, 1936, in Rocheport, the son of Roy Tuggle and Stella (Wilbanks) Tuggle. On April 13, 1957, he married Phyllis Bruce and from this marriage were four children. On Nov. 20, 1976, he was married to Shirley Lancaster.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Tuggle of Iowa City, Iowa; two daughters, Annie Clark of Moberly and Lisa King and husband, Tim, of Kirkville; one sister, Shirley Storey of Clarksville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Donald Tuggle Jr.; sister, Lois Atkins; and brother, Richard Tuggle.
After graduating from Higbee High School, he worked at A.B. Chance Co. in Centralia until his retirement.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Cater Funeral Home in Moberly with the Rev. John Spilman officiating.
