Dorothy Lee Snow, age 91, formerly of New Franklin, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Autumn Meadows in Linn, Mo., from complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Gunn City, Mo. He parents were Walter and Jennie King. Dorothy married Curly Snow on July 10, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo. They soon moved to the New Franklin area because of Curly’s employment with the MKT Railroad. They were married 44 years until his passing in 1988.
Dorothy was a member of the New Franklin Christian Church and past member of Eastern Star and UTU. She was an avid card player and supporter of Missouri Tiger basketball.
Dorothy leaves behind three daughters, Marsha (Ron) Quinley of Omaha, Neb., Sharon (Mike) Derendinger of Holts Summit, Mo., and Monica Lang of Ellisville, Mo.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial was be at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, Mo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to New Franklin Christian Church or the Silver Liners Senior Center in New Franklin.
