Anna Sue Cravens of Fayette  departed this life, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 87.

She was born Dec. 20, 1924, to Cordie and Annie Bradford Paige in Fayette. She was a 1943 Lincoln High School graduate.

She was united in marriage to Marion Cravens, Sr. on Aug. 3, 1946. In this union, nine children were born.

She was employed as a nurse at Rest Haven. She also worked at Gas Light Inn and Brown Restaurant as cook. She retired from Central Methodist University Parish House in 1982.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory her children: Bernard, Freddie, Marion, Jr., Carolyn, Cindy and Eric. She also leaves to treasure her memory, her sisters, Leona Wayland, Mary Banks of Fayette; Nannie Mae Broadus of Boonville; Gladys Roland of Columbia; Dr. Helen I. Clay of Des Moines, Iowa. She also leaves to honor her memory nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Glenn, her daughters, Mary and Donna, her grandson, Clayton C. Paige, her brothers, Julius, Ruben, Cordell, Walter and Standford, and her sisters, Madeline, Helen Louise, Maureen and Theresa Ann.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Ground Church of God in Christ with burial in Fayette City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
