Dawson qualifies for Class 1 State Golf

Harrisburg sends three golfers to the Class 1 Sectional 3 Championships in Huntsville

The Fayette Falcons golft team traveled to Huntsville, Missouri, for the Class 1 Sectoinal 3 championships on May 7.
Four members of the Fayette golf team – Blake Dawson, Jace Udy, Tate Beeler and Dylan Asbury – had qualified to compete in the match.
At the end of the day, Dawson was the only one to qualify for the Class 1 State Golf Championships. He shot 15-over-par to finish in a 12th place tie.
Asbury shot 37-over-par and finished in 33rd place overall. Udy finished in a tie for 34th place by shooting 38-over-par. Beeler 54-over-par and finished in 46th place.
Harrisburg sent three competitors to the Class 1 Sectional 3 match. James McClure shot 22-over par and finished in 24th place. McClure missed qualifying for the Class 1 State Golf Championships by three strokes, according to Harrisburg head golf coach Doug Fessler.
Alex Weideman shot 42-over-par and finished in 40th place. Zachary McKernan finished in 45th place, shooting 49-over-par.
The Class 1 State Golf Championships will be held May 14-15 at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri.
