Valerie Kimball has been named as the new head girls basketball coach at Fayette. She was announced as the new coach on May 16.
Kimball graduated from Central Methodist University in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She is currently in her third year at the University of Missouri School of Law.
“I have always been interested in coaching, but the path of a lawyer doesn’t make that very easy,” Kimball said. “I had one other opportunity to coach in Ketesville for the junior high and I loved it, so when this opportunity became available, I was willing to do anything with my schedule at school to allow this to work.”
Kimball played high school basketball for four years. She played one year at Rolla, and three years at Iberia. She played two years at CMU.
The Fayette Lady Falcons’ summer basketball schedule begins on June 1. They will hold open gym from 7-9 p.m.
The Lady Falcons’ first summer scrimmage will take place at the New Franklin Shootout on June 4, followed by the Sturgeon Shootout on June 5.
The Lady Falcons are also scheduled for scrimmages at Westran on June 12 and June 26, and the Higbee Summer Shootout on June 20.
