Fayette High School senior Browyn Eubanks was named Queen of the 2025 Howard County Fair, and junior Molly Wies was named Teen Queen at the annual contest last Wednesday night to officially kickoff the Howard County Fair.
Eubanks, 17, is the daughter of Kayla McGuire. She swept the competition, winning the interview and talent categories and was named Miss Congeniality by the three-judge panel. She performed a flute solo as her talent.
Wies, 16, is the daughter of Blake and Sarah Wies. She won the talent competition after delivering a speech about how her family survived a head-on automobile accident that left her father unconscious while on a family trip.
Other Queen candidates were Melissa Innes and Kinsley Washburn. Teen candidates included Cecilia Saylor and Kadence Sulltrop.
Sulltrop won the Teen interview competition.
Returning royalty included Queen KatiJo Schaefer and Teen Gracie Innes.
The night opened with the annual Prince and Princess contest, featuring about a dozen Howard County youngsters. This year’s prince is Kaynan Asbury, son of Ryan Asbury and Rebecca Doler. The Princes is Sutton Ploof, daughter of Cory and Emma Ploof.
The first runner-up in the Prince contest was Beck Brown, followed by second-runner-up Tavious Roth. The first runner-up in the Princess contest was Lettie McCann, followed by second-runner-up Etta Jane Vroman.
The returning Prince and Princess were Tripp Hustedde and Rhyan Hilderbrand.
