The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri is celebrating one year of providing afterschool and summer enrichment to Fayette families.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating one year of having a Boys & Girls Club site in Fayette,” said Local Advisory Council President Jill Wiseman. “The mission, vision, and commitment of the Club staff to providing positive, productive experiences for the youth in our community is such a great opportunity for the members and their families. We look forward to continuing to grow the club membership and expanding opportunities for teen enrollment.”
The Fayette Club provides all-day care on Mondays when school is not in session and afterschool care Tuesday through Friday for students in the Fayette school district. Students are engaged in a variety of hands-on learning activities, including STEM, arts, life skills, mentorship and leadership opportunities, service learning, and homework help.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank all the Club members, parents, staff, advisory board members, community partners, grantors, and donors who helped lay the foundation for the Fayette location,” said Boys & Girls Club CEO Patrick Stewart. “It is our pleasure to be part of this community that has been so welcoming and enthusiastic about our program. We are one year down and many more to go.”
Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri provides afterschool and summer enrichment care at 14 Club Sites in eight communities. For more information, call (660) 826-8331 or go to bgckids.com.
