Area high schools came away with nearly a dozen trophies from the 56th annual Central Methodist University Band Day on Saturday.
The Clark Middle School band marched for its first time ever as an exhibition. The Central Methodist band displayed the power and precision known and expected of the premier music program.
The competition welcomed 33 high school and junior high bands from across the state. Class 5 Troy-Buchanan won the coveted Sweepstakes Award having swept all but one category of competition.
