The No. 1 Central Methodist men’s soccer team will look to win its third national title in the last four seasons, as the Eagles are set to compete in the 63rd annual NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship this week in Decatur, Alabama.

CMU is joined at the Final Site by two other Heart schools,; No. 4 Missouri Valley College, and No. 8 MidAmerica Nazarene. The three teams from the Heart are the most by a single conference at this year’s Final Site.

Central has earned the No. 1 overall seed in the 10-team tournament, earning a first-round bye. CMU will face the winner of No. 8 MidAmerica Nazarene vs. No. 9 Ottawa (Ariz.) Thursday, December 2 at 1 p.m. (CST) in the quarterfinals.

CMU enters the dance with a perfect 21-0 overall season record, including signature wins over No. 18 MNU, No. 10 Baker, No. 8 Missouri Valley College, and No. 2 Oklahoma Wesleyan.

The Eagles claimed both the Heart regular-season and tournament crowns for the second-straight season. CMU punched its ticket to the Final Site with a 4-0 victory over Tabor and a thrilling 3-2 win over Rio Grande (Ohio) in the Opening Round last weekend.

The NAIA Network – the association’s official video-streaming home – will broadcast all matches live at this year’s championship. The video platform, powered by Presto, allows users access to live video, statistics and social interaction on a number of devices, including mobile. Single-day passes can be purchased for $9.95, while a tournament pass is $34.95. Fans may access the NAIA Network by clicking https://www.naia.org/sports/wvball/stretch_wvball .
