Commercial Trust welcomes Jackman, Elliot to board

Commercial Trust Company announced the appointment of two new members to the bank’s Board of Directors. Timothy D. Jackman and Kyle Elliott were elected to the board at its September meeting and began their duties as directors effective October 1, 2020.  

“We are excited and honored to add Tim and Kyle to the Commercial Trust Board of Directors,” said board chairman Jay Jacobs. “Both gentlemen are well-known business and community leaders who will bring sound judgment and innovative ideas to the board. We look forward to working with them as we continue to promote our surrounding communities as vital places to live and work.”

Mr. Jackman serves as the Interim President and CEO of Previsor, Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance Company’s partner in supporting policyholders with multi-state workers compensation needs. He represents Previsor with key stakeholders, oversees operations and the fulfillment of service agreements with MEM. Mr. Jackman also maintains responsibility at MEM for advancing automation and operational efficiency priorities in Claims and Customer Service.

Mr. Jackman has also served as Senior Vice President of Operational Services for MEM. He is currently a member of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds, the Board of Trustees for Central Methodist University, the Lincoln Public School Memorial Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Area. He has been the coordinator of the Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Fayette since 2001. Mr. Jackman formerly served as a long-time board member of Fayette RIII School District, Board of Directors of Missouri School Board Association, and the Risk Management Insurance Advisory Board at the Trulaske College of Business - University of Missouri (Columbia).

He resides in Fayette with his wife, Valorie, and two sons, Jonathan and Chase.

Mr. Elliott is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri and a degree from the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. He has been employed by Commercial Trust Company for 28 years and is currently the bank’s Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. A lifelong resident of Howard County, Elliott is also actively involved in a wide variety of community and philanthropic activities, including the Fayette Optimist Club, and is President of Fayette Main Street Association. He has also served as past president of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Fayette with his wife, Kelly, and has four children, Hannah, Cole, Devan, and Thomas. 

In addition to Chairman of the Board Mr. Jacobs, Messrs. Jackman, and Elliott join current Commercial Trust board members Mark Harbison, Janet Jacobs, Gina Sanders, Bruce Addison, Hal Fisher, and JB Waggoner.
