Abbey Conrow was rewarded for a productive senior season with a spot on the media’s Central Missouri All-District Class 2 first team. Conrow averaged over 20 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals. The young Falcons started 4-13 before winning five of their last eight, including a 50-47 win over Cole Camp in a district quarterfinal. Conrow will continue her basketball career at Central Methodist next year.
Harrisburg’s Baylie Combs and New Franklin’s Abby Maupin were second team selections.
Combs led the Bulldogs to the district final, averaging 12.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Harrisburg finished 10-17 against a tough schedule, but the grind prepared the Bulldogs for the district tournament where they beat Belle 55-50 in double overtime, and New Haven 39-37 to reach the district final.
Maupin averaged 13.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for a New Franklin squad that finished 15-11, a major improvement from 7-18 a season ago.
Glasgow’s sophomore combo of Brenna Hubbard and Malia Carmack both landed on the Class 1 first team after productive seasons. Hubbard and Carmack led the Lady Jackets to a 12-13 finish. Hubbard scored 16.2 points per game with 9 rebounds. Carmack averaged 14.6 points per game and 2.8 steals as well. Her 3-point shooting streaks made Glasgow an exciting team to watch.
Devin Clark was a first team selection for Higbee after averaging a double-double over her senior season with 16.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game for a Higbee team that finished 8-17. Macey Whisenand was a second-team selection for the Tigers. She scored 10.6 points per game along with 5.7 rebounds.
