HOWARD COUNTY OFFICIALS elected in the November 5, 2024, General Election were sworn into office by County Clerk Shelly Howell and Circuit Clerk Teresa Syferd on Tuesday, December 31, in the Howard County Courthouse. Each was re-elected without opposition. All began their new terms on Wednesday, January 1, except for Assessor Woody McCutcheon, whose term begins on September 1, 2025.
Left to right: Western District Commissioner Mat Freese (2nd term), Eastern District Commissioner Jeff Stockhorst (2nd term), Coroner Trisha Clark (2nd term), Public Administrator Lisa Asbury (4th term), Assessor Woody McCutcheon (5th term), and Sheriff Jeff Oswald (2nd term).
Also re-elected was Circuit 14 Presiding Judge Scott Hayes (4th term), who took the oath of office in Randolph County.
