Rural Higbee, Mo., resident Glenda Goon, age 72, passed away at her home on December 20, 2023.
Glenda Elaine Goon was born in Moberly, Mo., on August 27, 1951, a daughter to the late Clyde Tremain and Viola (Price) McSparren. On October 31, 1970, Glenda married the love of her life, Ronald Ellison “Ronny” Goon, in Moberly, Mo. The couple shared two sons, Tom and Luke, and 48 wonderful years
together. Ronny preceded her in death on July 26, 2018. Glenda was an excellent homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She never met a stranger and was always eager to spark conversation. Glenda enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching old westerns. She will
be deeply missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her two sons, Tom (Carrie Harrington)
Goon of Blackwater, Mo., and Luke (Deana) Goon of Higbee, Mo.; three grandchildren, Bradley (Thi Anh Tu) Goon, Shiann Goon and Xander Goon; three siblings, Lowell Tremain, Revetta Hudson and Ricky Tremain. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Amanda Goon. In addition to her husband and parents, Glenda was preceded in death by three siblings, Mark and Monty Tremain and Connie Walters.
Funeral services honoring the life of Glenda Goon will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, Mo., with Rev. Kerry Kesey officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service, starting at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Roanoke Cemetery.
