Harrisburg baseball standout Isaac DeMuth signed a letter of intent on Thursday to play ball for the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds next year. The senior (seated center) made the commitment surrounded by teammates and friends with head baseball coach Chris Ackman (standing far right) in the high school library. DeMuth is the son of Donald Demuth and Heidi Liedtke.
DeMuth so far this year has earned a record of 4-5 in nine games started on the mound for the Bulldogs with a 2.930 ERA. The hurler has struck out 72 batters so far this season, with 39 batters caught looking at strike three. At the plate, he’s batting .324 in the No. 3 spot with three doubles, three triples, and 24 RBI, with 21 runs scored. He has also swiped 14 bases so far with a 93.33 stolen-base percentage.
Harrisburg is 10-11 on the season. The Bulldogs lost a close game to New Franklin on Monday 8-7. DeMuth went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Monday’s game.
