Herbert Madison Ingham, 94, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri, with his loving wife by his side.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Herb was born on April 13, 1928, to John Ingham and Goldena Ingham. He graduated from Urich High School in 1946. He married the love of his life, Nora Jean Hargrave, in 1950. From there, Herb was drafted into the Army in 1951. During his time in the service, he did a tour in Korea. He had four children: Michael, Patricia, James, and Ronald. Herb worked for Missouri Gas Energy, where he retired. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Some days you would find him hanging out with his best friend, Don Brundage, fishing, or just arguing about life. Herb had four grandchildren: Derick, Amy, Nick, and Joey. He had five great-grandchildren; Shelby, Autumn, Alexa, Gunner, and Silas, all of whom held a special place in his heart. His wittiness, sense of humor, and his love will never be forgotten. Heaven gained one special man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Goldena Ingham; brothers: Bill and Johnnie; sisters: Maxine and Irene; and best friend, Don.

Herb is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Mike and wife Nan; daughter, Patty and husband Jimmy; son, Jim and wife Debbie; and son, Ron; grandchildren: Derick and wife Anna, Amy, Nick, and Joey; great-grandchildren: Shelby, Autumn, Alexa, Gunner, and Silas; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri, (816) 847-4441.
