Hillside Baptist opens Blessing Box

To the Editor:

Fayette’s “WE LOVE HOCO” was a wonderful way to show the people in our county that God blesses us, so we can bless others.

Hillside Baptist Church recently launched a “Blessing Box” Ministry for the same reason!

A Blessing Box is a mini food and staples pantry that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no requirements for someone to be eligible to use the Blessing Box. The Red Box is located outside of the building, yet under the awning of Hillside Baptist

Church. The address is 140 Hwy. 5 and 240 across from the Fayette Golf Course.

The purpose is to provide food and other staples to anyone in need. The cabinet will be stocked regularly and is not to replace the local Food Pantries, but intended to supplement. The desire is that, on a day when someone’s cabinet is almost empty, the Blessing Box will help with a meal or other needed supplies.

Because we are “Blessed”, Serese Wiehardt, Lisa Lang,Holly Owings, Katrina Monnig, Debbie Stacey, Donna Woodson, Martha Kaylor, Angela Stricker, Christina Appleberry, Amy Kingery, Dianne Porter, Jackie Burns, and Penny Brown.
