Holiday displays light up city park

Once again, the Fayette City Park dazzles onlookers for the holiday season. The Friends of Historic Fayette Memorial Pool began the Sparkle in the Park in 2018 as a way to draw interest to the park. Since then, the annual spectacle has grown to nearly two dozen lighted displays.

From reindeer leaping over the entrance sign from Besgrove Street, to the lighted softball field and shelter house, displays light up the night every evening until 10 p.m. Organizations, clubs, businesses, and churches all contribute to the annual holiday displays.
