John C. Grigsby, 85, of Fayette, passed away on August 11, 2024, at Glasgow Gardens in Glasgow.
John was born December 17, 1938, a son of Herman Moss Grigsby and Bertha Houston Grigsby. He was a retired farmer and had also been employed with Kentucky Fried Chicken and Target in Columbia. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Fayette.
He is survived by a brother, Albert Grigsby of Gardner, Kan.; son, Marvin Grigsby; and nephews Bert and Brandon Grigsby.
John was preceded in death by his mother and father, his stepfather Cedric Moore, and by brothers Harvey and Walter Grigsby.
Services honoring John’s life was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial followed the service at Higbee Cemetery in Higbee, Missouri.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette Senior Center.
