Lane Shaw McCutcheon, 69, passed away on March 6th, 2023 at his home in Boonville, Missouri. He was born on February 2, 1954 in Fayette, Missouri, to his parents, Sue and Charles McCutcheon.
Lane was a dedicated business owner, having owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. He was best known for McCutcheon’s AF Supersaver, a grocery store located in Fayette. He took great pride in serving the community and providing quality products and excellent service to his customers.
Lane graduated from Fayette High School in 1972 and went on to build a successful career as an entrepreneur. He was a hard worker, a true leader, and an inspiration to those who worked alongside him.
Those who love him will miss his great sense of humor and propensity to sing original songs about anything and everything.
Lane is survived by his children, Tara McCutchen of St Louis, Missouri, Dana (George) Fleming of Louisville, Kentucky, Cory (Stacie) McCutcheon of Fayette, Missouri, and Malia McCutcheon of Fayette, Missouri. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, George, Jacob, and James Fleming, and John (Jax), Henry, and Ellis McCutcheon. Lane is survived by his twin brother, Dane McCutcheon of Moberly, MIssouri, and his brother John (Woody) McCutcheon of Fayette, Missouri.
Lane was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Suzy Himmelberg, and his brother Charles (Chuck) McCutcheon. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank (nhnfp.com) or Second Chance Animal Shelter (columbia2ndchance.org), both located in Boonville MO.
May Lane's memory bring joy and laughter to all who loved him.
