Lois Fern Sublett, 94, of Fayette, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Praise Assembly of God Church, with a visitation starting at 1 p.m. until the time of the service. A private family burial followed the service at Millersburg Cemetery.
Lois was born March 10, 1928, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Malvin Wayne and Ruth (Brown) Blacklock. In February 1979, she married Joab “Junior” Stublett and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2011. She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church, where she served as Church Treasurer for many years. She was employed by the University of Missouri as an accountant for 25 years.
She loved God, family, and her Church.
Lois is survived by her son, James Sanders (Brenda) of Harrisburg; granddaughters, Kellie Terrell (Tim) of Fayette and Tobi Linneman (Damon) of Wooldridge; and by three great-grandchildren, Asa, Avery, and Aubri.
She was also preceded in death by three siblings, C.W. Blacklock, Jean Webb, and Thomas Blacklock.
