To the Editor:
As we recognize Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week this March, I’d like to highlight the incredible partnership between long-term care administrators and hospice providers. Together, they create a compassionate and supportive environment for residents and their families, especially during end-of-life care.
Long-term care administrators work tirelessly to ensure that their facilities provide a safe, comfortable and dignified space for residents. Their role involves complex responsibilities, from managing staff and overseeing operations to ensuring high-quality, personalized care for each resident. When it comes to hospice care, these administrators are invaluable partners. They collaborate closely with hospice teams to honor each resident’s wishes and provide comfort in life’s final stages.
This partnership enhances the quality of life for residents facing terminal illnesses and offers support and solace to families. It’s a testament to the dedication of long-term care administrators that so many residents experience peace and comfort in familiar surroundings, supported by a network of compassionate professionals.
Let’s take this opportunity to express our appreciation for long-term care administrators and their commitment to excellence in resident care. Their collaboration with hospice providers makes a meaningful difference in countless lives.
Sincerely,
Mira Ackman
