New Franklin seniors Alexander McGruder and Brooklynn Brown were crowned King and Queen of the New Franklin Homecoming on Friday night. The coronation took place after the basketball teams swept Jamestown on the Bulldogs’ home court. (See game stories on Page 7)
McGruder is the son of Matt and Diedra McGruder. Brown is the daughter of Terry and Amanda Gibson and Raymond Brown.
Cane Kircher and Everleigh Gerding were the Prince and Princess. Cane is the son of Danny and Paige Kircher. Everleigh is the daughter of Erich and Emily Gerding.
Last year’s royalty, King Sawyer Felten and Natalie Wiseman, crowned the new King and Queen. Other senior king candidates were Rylan Hundley, Cooper McGruder, and Brandon Phillips. Queen candidates included Brynn Belstle, Emersyn Eads, and Kinsley Washburn.
