Nancy Elizabeth Sayers (Thomas), 67, passed away peacefully in her house on Friday, May 6, 2022.

She is proceeded in death by both of her parents, Wilbert Lewis and Michaele Jo Thomas (Mattivi), and her sister, Patricia (Pat) Garret.

She leaves behind four children, Katherine Hagen, Ryan Sayers (Sarah), Luke Sayers, and De’Shawn Cowans, along with seven grandchildren.

Nancy loved to cook and competed in both barbecues and ice sculpting throughout her life along with having a career as a chef. She also loved to travel and along the way would take the time to stop at state signs and read any historical markers. She was an avid reader and loved Stephen King. She also loved to binge-watch good shows and movies. Nancy also loved to catch up with her friends, some close and some across the country. She was a woman who found joy in simple and small things.

Nancy was a very strong and smart woman who loved deeply and was loved deeply. She lived a good life full of adventures, lessons, and good friends with whom to share stories. She will be missed and remembered by many.

There will be no services held, at her request.
