Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC) announced Friday the appointment of Kaylee Paffrath as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 8.

“Kaylee brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role, having served as the Director of Business Development for MAEDC since 2023,”  said Chuck McKeown, MAEDC Board President. “With a career that spans various leadership positions, Kaylee’s strategic vision and commitment to economic growth make her an ideal candidate to lead MAEDC into its next phase of development.”

Prior to joining MAEDC, Paffrath served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Moberly Area Community College, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership overseeing the MACC/MJC Alumni Association & Foundation and the Evelyn Jorgenson Fine Arts Gallery.

Paffrath has been an active participant in regional economic development initiatives, serving as the Vice President for Missouri Northeast and representing Northeast Missouri District 2 on the Missouri Economic Development Council (MEDC) Public Policy Committee.

“I am honored to accept the role of President and CEO of MAEDC, and I am eager to lead the organization into this next phase,” Paffrath said. “My experience in business development and dedication to economic advancement have prepared me for this exciting opportunity. I am committed to working collaboratively with the MAEDC team and our community partners to drive positive change and foster sustainable economic development in the Moberly area.”

An alumna of Columbia College, Paffrath earned a B.S. B.A. in 2012, and later completed her M.B.A. in 2022. Her academic achievements, coupled with her hands-on experience, have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of economic development principles and strategies.

Kaylee and her husband, Colin, reside in Moberly with their two children, Maxwell and Harper, both of whom attend Moberly Public Schools.

The MAEDC works to promote financial investment in Randolph and Howard counties.
