Patricia Ann Bassett, 79, of Fayette, passed away on September 14, 2023, at Monroe Manor in Paris, Missouri.
Patrica was born in Abilene, Texas, on March 15, 1944, a daughter of Noel and Helen Horn Searls. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper and cashier. Patrica enjoyed reading, watching police series on TV, sewing, camping in her younger days, and fishing, even though she couldn’t bait a hook.
Those left to remember her include her son, Jerry Bassett of Fayette; a granddaughter, Teaghan Casey; a great-grandson, Kieran Casey; two brothers, Dave Searls and wife, Barbara, and Mike Searls and wife, Stephanie; two nephews, Don Searls and wife Kathy, and Ron Searls and wife, Ploy; a niece, Sonya; and two great nieces, Vanessa and Kaitlyn.
Services honoring Patricia’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette, with Rev. Bill O’Neal officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
