Fayette Rotary Club President Erik Martinez presented two checks to Fayette City Clerk Judy Thompson at the club’s regular meeting on Wednesday, May 24.
The first check for $100 will go toward the city’s annual Independence Day fireworks display. The display is typically paid for through local donations. The cost of the display went up significantly and the city is seeking more donations again this year.
The second check presented to the city was in the amount of $160. It will pay for two Fayette pool passes. Family pool passes cost $80 a season and run through the summer. The pool opened on Saturday.
Both donations are part of the club’s Happy Can project.
