Rotary honors FHS Students of the Month

Posted

January was a busy month for the Fayette Rotary Club. The organization welcomed two new members, recognized a Paul Harris Fellow Plus 2, and honored four Fayette High School students as December 2024 Students of the Month.

Shelby Alexander, Senior Client Service Associate at Commercial Trust Company, and Barbie Oeth, Executive Director for Downtown Fayette, are the club’s newest members. Dr. Jessica Quint sponsored Shelby and Rev. Jamie Page is Barbie’s sponsor.

Club President Linda Lembke presented Glenn Ludtke with his Paul Harris Fellow Plus 2 pin at the club’s meeting on January 15.  The Paul Harris Fellow program recognizes individuals who contribute—or who have contributions made in their names— in the amount of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Persons who give additional gifts of $1,000 receive Plus pins.

The Fayette Rotary Club honored FHS students as December Students of the Month at the club’s meeting on January 29. The four students are freshman Rylan Roberts, sophomore Whitlee Allphin, junior Ethan Bean, and senior Skylar Sunderland. The three girls received certificates and detailed some of their accomplishments during the meeting. Bean was attending state band and was unable join the meeting.  Student of the Month Liaison Billie Williams accepted Ethan's certificate.
