To the Editor:
After much thought and careful consideration I decided to enter the race for the unexpired term of alderman for the Southwest Ward. I am motivated to play a role in helping to shape a brighter future for the city of Fayette, and this letter shall serve as my public announcement for that office.
I served on the council from 2015 until 2023. That experience, along with the perspectives gained from a two year absence, have clarified for me a vision for the future of Fayette. A few of the issues important to me are repairing the streets, making our electric system safer and more reliable, and promoting economic development within the city.
In my view, it is an honor and a privilege to serve our community. It is in that spirit that I look forward to the opportunity to work with the other members of the council to resolve the city’s most pressing issues.
Sincerely,
Grafton H. Cook
