Parents: Kristin and Kurt Himmelmann
Siblings: Miles and Addi
Pets: One dog (Cleo) and four cats.
How are you spending time with school closed? We’re somehow still doing schoolwork. Otherwise, reading, playing video games, hanging out with my friends, and spending as much time as I can outdoors.
Sports/Activities: Basketball, Baseball, Marching Band (Drum Major for two years), Quiz Bowl (current team captain), Student Council, NHS, Jr. Optimist Club, statistician for the football team.
Favorite moment from athletics: My favorite moment in my athletic career was being a member of the basketball team my sophomore year, when we won our first conference championship in ages and were state ranked most of the season.
Favorite classes: Elementary Statistics and Calculus I
Favorite food: A cheeseburger.
Hobbies: Hanging out with my friends, being outdoors, listening to music.
A person who has influenced you: My parents have always been there for me in every way possible, whether it be by attending all my games and competitions, offering me guidance, and supporting my academic goals. Furthermore, they’ve taught me the importance of responsibility, dedication, and integrity, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them.
Future plans: Next year I’ll be attending the University of Missouri-Columbia and majoring in statistics as a member of the honors college. Upon graduation, I plan on attending graduate school or finding work as a statistician or data scientist. Eventually, I hope to start a career in sports analytics.
